Victoria is part of our day service for adults with a learning disability and the centre can support up to 10 people on any one day.
We take a person centred approach to care and will support people to develop skills and knowledge to help them to both express themselves as a unique individual and to feel confident within their local community.
We can support people to take part in a wide range of activities, either inside our bases or out in the community. Here are some examples of the regular activities people take part in:
cookery skills for pleasure, home and personal development
arts and crafts
health and lifestyle – gym, swimming, walking, movement to music, Wheels for All, toning table
multi sensory stimulation or relaxation
college and education support
volunteering and work based assessments and training
To offer a service that is respectful and meets each person's needs, we also work with people to develop an individually tailored support plan with appropriate risk assessments. This may include the following:
