Brief Career Summary:
Having worked within the technology sector for over 20 years, I have significant experience in both digital transformation and technology leadership. I am currently the Chief Information and Digital Officer at the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), where I lead the delivery of technology and digital transformation activities. DBS plays a hugely important role within the safeguarding and recruitment sectors, ultimately helping to safeguard children and adults. I’ve been in this position since 2017 and take great pleasure in developing technology solutions that help to streamline this service and help contribute to the wider safeguarding sector.
My technology career spans a number of sectors, including Central Government, financial services and the technology service provider industry. I have also volunteered as a trustee for Rossendale Hospice since 2015, and have an MBA from the University of Liverpool
Specialisms/Areas of Expertise:
My core skill set is undoubtedly technology focussed, however my business interests also include organisational strategy, business transformation and smarter working initiatives. Bringing these together into a public service role where I can make a real contribution to society is hugely important to me, and I very much look forward to bringing my experiences to Persona where I can truly help people live their best life.
