Thank you to all the Shared Lives Carers who attended the Fire Safety Training Centre in Bury.
The training covered interactive rescue videos which simulated heat and cold, mock up accident scenes in houses where carers had to identify hazards and then were shown rooms once a fire had taken place. They also had a go at the control room handling emergency scenarios.
Everybody took something from it; it was an interesting experience that could potentially save the lives of carers and the customers they care for. The training is open to schools & community groups within the area.
