Cycle to Work Day

As part of our year-old Green Plan, we are reducing the amount of fuel we use in several ways.

We're promoting active and sustainable travel* by building a bike shelter at our head office, Basecamp and we'll soon be introducing a bike library!

*active and sustainable travel means:

• walking
• running
• cycling
• using public transport

Bernard, our finance director, says

"we wanted to have a bike shelter as we know several members of staff and people we support do use their cycles to get around. We got a grant to build the shelter and there's an opportunity for us to use it as part of Bury's bike library scheme. We've also asked our managers to tell us which of our sites would benefit from more bicycle libraries being added."
