Thanks to Bury People First, who came to The Green Café to run this workshop for people we support.
It was arranged by Shared Lives as a part of their monthly drop in and people who use several different Persona services came to learn about healthy eating choices and how to make some simple recipes - the wraps were a big hit!
Kim says:
'The workshop gave people from different services a chance to get together and discuss healthy eating and everyone appeared to feel comfortable to talk about this. Bury People First did a brill job presenting with pictures as well as words which made it inclusive and easier to understand for those who may have found it difficult.'
David told us:
'It was good, and I had a laugh, I met new people and saw people I knew. My favorite thing about the day was making the wraps they were very tasty and lots of vegetarian options to choose from.
I am glad I got involved with the day it was good for me to get out and try something new.'
Sarisa said:
'It helped me understand food choices better and I liked making the wraps, which is now something I want to make often.'
Verity added:
'I thought it was a good session, I think everyone enjoyed it, I also learnt something new today about sugar.'
and Gillian told us:
'I loved the group discussion; I loved the healthy eating workshop.'
